MIDAS-severity is the application designed to give users the power to calculate the predicted life of aero engines in the palm of their hand wherever they are in the world.
The application is design to answer two fundamental questions,
1) How long will engines last on wing?, and
2) How much will it cost to repair them when they come off?
MIDAS-SeverityTM enables the user to select
a) specific aero engine types and marques;
b) the region of operation / where the engine is based; and depending on whether the engine is classed as either a new or mature asset
c) the anticipated level of repair at next shop visit.
Once these selections have been made the application calculates
a) the selected engines expected life on wing;
b) its anticipated repair cost at next shop visit, excluding LLPs; and
c) the blended maintenance reserve rate using new and mature engine profiling.
